So now that the wedding is behind us, the studio is pretty much set up...what I've been up to probably won't surprise you at all...
Drawing...
4:30 am moon watching via my new "studio" window
thinking about my kids, about life, about everything...
Some 4:30 am painting...my next work here in progress...
A little bird watching and picture taking...
Doing some normal house painting to rooms that needed it...
my old dining room (AKA studio)
And after cleaning out the basement, wondering what to do with treasures like these...
Feeling grateful for so many things, even this guy...(he's so fun)...
Wondering what to do next...feeling joyful and a little sad at the same time...but so hopeful...so....
So...
carefree...
love your little bird painting, and i understand about the what to do now
ReplyDeleteThis post is so emotional, Lisa!!! But its going to be okay...one day at a time.!!...I love your drawing of the bird ....and I see Raggedy Ann!!! Beautiful memories..My Raggedy sits on a shelf in my living room! I'm sending you a hug!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Carefree.
ReplyDeleteI can feel you are priming up for a huge painting binge. Better be prepared and have some meals in the freezer!
Love both birds - one inside, one outside.
Love the dog
The feet? Well they are ok as feet go but shoes look cute.
It seems as if you are in a really good space at the moment - carefree, light - excited, expectant - wonderful place to be.
ReplyDeleteMoving things around always changes the energy doesn't it. Unsettling but good at the same time....enjoy your carefree....xox
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe you're able to paint at 4:30 in the morning! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet little bird drawing Lisa, and the bird you photographed sure is a pretty one!
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about adding a shelf to one of your studio walls for all your doll treasures to sit on?
I'm with you on the house painting. I just painted one wall in the living room for the third time in 10 years, and I want to paint the kitchen next. It's always so refreshing and nice when the walls get a makeover.
Hope your day is great Lisa,
D~~~~
just smiling and nodding at all of this, my friend... : )
ReplyDeletexoxo
I'm doing a happy dance for you! Can you hear the music, Lisa? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great journey you are on! So much going on and so much emotion! Take it day by day ;o) Great pictures! Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say, I love the treasures you found ;o)
ReplyDeleteHang in there Lisa! I'm thinking these "feelings" will simply end up on canvas!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteGreat post, but while I was looking at it, something struck me like the proverbial, "bolt out of the blue". It was the row of dolls--What a fabulous and perfect set-up for what would no doubt be one of your finest works to date.
I can imagine a canvas something like 12x20 or 24, so you could paint them large enough to bring out their various personalities, and yours at the same time. The simplicity of their faces would make the work go fast and I KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS!
I read each of the comments and I'm shocked that no one mentioned it. Please give it some serious and fun thought, Lisa. I think this would be right in your wheel house.
My enthusiasm has gotten the best of me, as I'm sure you can tell. If I were an art patron, (you know...with money) I'd beg you to do a commission of this scene.
Okay, no more coffee for me! Have a great day tomorrow, Lisa.
Sincerely,
Gary.
