  1. No leaf raking here, thank goodness! Sketching always counts:) And I cleaned up my studio also. Couldn't stand it any longer!

  2. Your studio intrigues me...It is a really charming space, and I kind of like the red wall. What sort of feeling do you get from all that red surrounding you while you work? I wonder if changing the wall color would affect your work? Also, if you categorized and organized supplies, would that affect your process? That's something to thing about... all of a sudden I'm wondering if my own studio arrangement influences my work, too. Or if it's just my personality reflected in both my artwork and the way I arrange my space... Anyway, your sketchbook paintings are wonderful! LIsa, I admire your imaginative style very much, and I always look forward to seeing your next piece.

  3. I have red walls in my studio also-although they a red orange rather than deep red like yours. I really like them a lot. We live in a condo, so no leaf raking for us-although it is good exercise-but glad i don't have to do it anymore!

  5. Love your art! Your sketchbook pieces are gorgeous! Don't you just love painting on cardboard; one of my favorite substrates. Good for you with the leaves - no leaves, here, to rake - they're all frozen! :) xo

  6. Love the artwork Lisa! That blue hair is fabulous dahling, just fabulous! Oh and the pic on your banner is gorgeous! Love, love, love it!

I'm in the same boat with my studio which is a converted garage. Stuff is everywhere! I would trade your leaves for mine in a heartbeat. We usually have around 60 bags! I'm dreading it more this year than usual for some reason. Oh well, life is good though and that's all that matters!

Have the best day EVER Lisa,
    D~~~~

  7. Sketchbook views are quite charming, love your ladies and their attitudes. No raking because of my shoulder, but I just love it, raking is so zen. xox

  9. You are racking leaves, we still are shoveling snow ;-)!
Don't worry with your studio, mine is often messy, I clean and a few days later it is still as crowded on my work table!
    Lovely sketches in you book.

  11. I am not raking leaves. I am not shoveling snow. I am thinking how I can get to a the coast for a few weeks of painting this summer. That's what I am doing. Additionally I am enjoying your blog and art. It brings me great joy.

  13. Great- fabulous- everything everyone has already said I agree with. Love seeing the studio looking like a real studio. I remember the photo of it when you first took that room. So NEAT. I remember thinking - give it a few months. Looking back at your sketchbooks sweeties and right from the start they have had an extra something - almost magical.
Leaves are being blown away with the spring winds.

  14. Loving your work my friend. And your header painting is so awesome. I LOVE it. That's a lot of leaves my friend. That had to be one heck of a workout. We are headed back to Nevada tomorrow. And then to Utah by the end of the week. On the move once again..

  18. Your paintings are so cool! Do you ever sell your sketch book paintings? I have to ask ;o) Our painting rooms always get messy! Very hard to keep clean! Red wall would be excellent! Hi Hurley ;o) That is a lot of leaves! I am not looking forward to my yard clean up! We still have tones of snow! My brother and sister-in-law came over this weekend. Good fun! Hugs ;o)

  19. I don't know how you get anything else done with the prolific beauties that come from within. I have neutral walls in my studio so I love your lively and vibrant red wall. I am sorry about Bean. Hoping for a return soon.
