It was kind of an amazing experience painting this. I really cannot explain it in words that would make sense, but I can tell you a certain and special peace came to visit me once it was done and it made me wish the painting session could have lasted forever.
Here are some close-ups.
Happy weekend to every one of you.
♥Lisa
I think of Marc Chagall when I saw this one! So DREAMY and I love the yellow dress = )
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteAll I could see was your Mom looking down as your life's journey continues.
You have a great weekend, too, Lisa.
Sincerely,
Gary

ReplyDeleteYou always find so much joy in your work. Very nice to read about that:)
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could feel some of that sensation you found while painting this, Lisa. It is beautiful and reflects that inner serenity.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! It fills me with wonderment.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this magical piece, Lisa... One of my favorites....
ReplyDeleteAgain, Chagall comes to my mind. The top figure a guardian or unseen watcher? Powerful, beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteWhat a moving piece - spiritual - the boat, calling it 'adrift,' the expression and how you painted the hands of the spirit being above you! Very special piece - no wonder you felt so at peace while painting it.
ReplyDeleteThe love and emotion you have been investing into your recent paintings are there for all to see. I agree with the above comment this is quite magical and I love the title too. I have always loved your work but for me there seems something extra special in your recent works. Thanks for visiting and for your lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteI like when art does that. It's as if a piece of you lies within. I get that feeling when paintings paint themselves.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Beautiful and haunting.
