Studio Clip: Behind The Scenes From After The Rain

Hello!  It's been a while!  I hope this finds everyone well and I want to thank those of you who have found me on Instagram and Facebook.  That is where I post regularly now, and it has been a joy to stay connected with blog friends in those places.

I found that writing blog posts used to be a joy for me, but now feels like a lot of work.  I would much rather be painting...and making videos!

Which brings me to why I am posting today in the first place.  I have finally completed another studio clip and this one is all behind the scenes of the last project After The Rain in my Finding Faith series.

I am in the midst of making plans for the next one! However, we have "lost our Faith" as she is now married and living away. But who knows! She might show up again!
I have decided to continue with the title "Finding Faith" for this series, even if the true Faith cannot be featured. As the projects have progressed in the series, it has also become about finding faith in myself as an artist as I explore this idea of combining videography, photography and painting.
Thank you as always for following this series!  I enjoy sharing it with you as it grows.  I am painting a lot of other art as well.  I hope you come find me on Facebook or Instagram if you haven't already so we can stay connected more often.  Links are above.
Bye for now!

  1. Loved this and have loved the Finding Faith series so happy to know you are continuing with another one. You are very good with the video and i got a kick near the end, out of seeing the screen flicker like the old time silent movies and you did it with a piano playing!
I understand about the reasons you are not blogging, but have to admit I find looking at everything on Instagram and Facebook is time consuming too. Throw in Pinterest and wow - loads of time has gone. Everything is taking up the visual artist's time.
Maybe when I am not working I will have more time to absorb everything on all of them.
What I enjoy about reading blogs is you get the meat of what the artist is about whereas on the I, F, P, it is short and sweet stuff.
I go on them about once or twice a week and oftyen catch you then.
    PS
Maybe you can tell me how to NOT have Instagram show up on my facebook page automatically when it is in a cropped version of a square

    1. Thank you Julie. I love your feedback, always do!

I went back and forth on the blogging issue, I really did. I like how you put it...the meat. True, which is the reason I have not stopped altogether.

I am not sure about the question on IG posts showing up on your FB page. Feel free to call me and maybe I can talk you through it.

      xoxo

I feel blogging is more personal!! I was on Facebook, but I went nuts! LOL! Too much to see and keep up with!
I really, really loved seeing you and hearing you on this video! It was a joy to see you creating it and seeing the painting!
Big Hugs and Much Love my friend!

    1. Hi Stacy! I remember you being on Facebook, and I miss seeing you there. Your are right, it is a lot of information coming at you. I think everyone just has to decided what works best for them. Instagram has become my favorite place for social media because it's easier to see the things you want to see in the feed. As for Facebook, I have a new habit of using my personal page for friends and family, and my art page for my art. It works out pretty good for that way.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind words! xoxo
