Heirs That Are and Were
Hello everyone! I finally finished this painting. It really did not take as long as it seemed. I have been very busy with so many other things. Since our move to the new house, art has been on the back burner. I hope to rekindle the artistic fire starting this weekend as a lot of the busyness seems to be settling. However, I am really wanting a change, so you may see several different things in the weeks ahead. Perhaps I will start with some more chair paintings. Or maybe some landscapes as a way to show you our new neighborhood.

Another thing I would really like to work on is making another slideshow of all the paintings I did last year. I made one for 2013 (see sidebar) and it was really fun to do. It would be great if I could put one together for 2014. It took a long time to make one though, so it might be 2016 before I can get it done.

Thanks for your visit. See you next time.

An AMAZING painting. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI love the depth and mystery the layering gives.
The title says so much.
And yes, I would love to see your new neighborhood explored in paint.
Cool IDEA...I'd love to see your slideshow!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very beautiful piece = )
Your ladies are all dressed so nicely!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your next group of paintings-maybe the views of your new area?
Your style shines in this one!

Thank you Julie, Sue, Libby and Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI mention this in an earlier post and probably should have in this one as well...I have had several friends lose parents in the last month or two and of course my own mother's death still feels fresh to me even though it was in July. Losing those we care about or watching someone else go through it, always provokes thoughts about heaven for me. Can they still see us? Hear us? And this is what this painting is about.
Beautiful work my Friend. You sure do have a real talent!
ReplyDeleteHugs~
Oh I really love this painting, so much going on here on so many levels. xox
ReplyDeleteLisa - I love this painting! So strong - so special. Thank goodness you have your art to help you process your grief. I remember when I lost my dad I was always wondering where he was -- could he see me, hear me . . .you captured that so well.
ReplyDeleteDo you use iPhoto? I created a slideshow - saved it to the desktop and then uploaded it to you tube. It was very easy. Maybe formats have changed a little since you did your last you tube slideshow. Can't wait to see your new one!
This is truly beautiful and knowing the meaning in back of the painting, makes it even more speciall....excellent piece, Lisa!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis painting has so much meaning. Those heirs are really there...'cause I see them! I love it, yes I do!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to change what we paint. Yesterday I did a 100% huge experimental painting....being so done with the little stuff.
This turned out beautifully Lisa, I loved seeing the different stages.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! I really appreciate all your comments! Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
